Archive days

After conversations with the iconic Imogen Cleverley about curation within publications and exhibitions she introduced me to her favourite archives.

I've since been having many archive days exploring the beautiful collections of zines, images, stories and memrobilia of queer, kink, wroking class, feminist and abolitionist subcultures. Preserving these communities in a world where history is written and recorded by rich white men feels extremely important. I've begun to have conversations with different individuals from these communities and who are involved in archiving on how we can record our own histories and different ways of doing this.
