Research into curated spaces

Starting my research into curation and curated spaces, I wanted to look at where I could gather ideas around this from all different people. Often research itself is exclusionary in terms of the language we use around it, how we gather it, where we source it from and the environment in which we conduct it. I wanted to start by inviting people across all different areas in my city (through invitations in public spaces such as the streets, toilet doors, bus stops, public transport and parks) to feedback to me their thoughts via voicenote or message using whatsapp.

A lot of uncomfortability seemed to come from not feeling connected to or understanding of work in these spaces as well as not really knowing how you are supposed to be in these spaces. Some people had never been to any as felt they were too intimidating or not welcoming. A lot of people felt they didn't understand the point of art and exhibitions or what was being shown didn't interest them.
